In a week or so kinja, the blog reader I've been using for several years, is closing it's doors for good. They were wonky a lot. I didn't really like it. But I knew it, it was comfortable, I was lazy about switching over. But now I must. Time to find friendlier waters.
What blog reader do you use and why?
Bloglines (www.bloglines.com), and because someone suggested it. No problems so far. (oy, probably just jinxed myself!)

I second Bloglines. It's easy to use, the interface is intuitive, and I've only rarely had problems with it and they're usually short-lived.

Google reader...but then, I'm all google all the time. It has a great plugin called better greader that lets you comment on people's posts within the reader window instead of having to go directly to the blog. I don't know if bloglines does that or not. It lets you make a shared items list and post a badge for it to your blog, which is kind of fun.

I use Vienna. And I am a Mac person.

And why? It's kind of like a mini browser.

Google reader; like Kelly, I'm on Google all the time during the day.

I use bloglines. For no particular reason other than it is comfortable and I am lazy. I also use googlereader because it has a cool widget that I use to link to posts I like in my sidebar.

I used to use Bloglines because it displayed really well and I liked the fact you could see other peoples' subscriptions if they allowed. But now I use Google Reader as it is convenient to my GMail and iGoogle windows.
