God Wears Wings
I have always adored the furry creatures. Oh how I love them. And about a decade ago I began a deepening appreciation of all things arthropod, including cohabitation with several enormous nests of wasps in which I watched them rear many litters of young. And then, about six years ago, I began noticing birds. It's not, obviously, that I didn't see the winged ones, it's that I didn't See them. Now I do. I save their feathers and watch the sky for their flock art and listen to the stories they tell. And now this morning, appearing in my inbox, something fabulous from Mark Morford about African Greys that Blew My Mind.
Enjoy.
thank you so much for turning me on to Mark - his column now arrives in my emailbox, and makes me laugh. :) birds are such amazing, odd creatures, aren't they?

My coworker has several birds and a couple of greys. If you ever want to come with me to visit them, let me know. :)
