2. Relationships
Symbolized By: Receptivity and giving. The flow of give and take.
Color: Red, white, pink
Element: Earth
Affirmation: “I give and receive love easily and joyfully”, “My life is filled with loving people who care about me and support me”

Your relationships, especially your romantic relationships, are mirrors of who you are. They reflect not only how you show up consciously, but also what remains hidden. At it’s highest, romantic relationship is about union: the union of opposites, the union of inner and outer self, and the union of yang (action/male energy)and yin (being/female energy) with the divine.

Add To Area: Bring in pairs of objects, pictures and art that portray loving relationships, images of togetherness and harmony, softness, receptivity. Picture the fertile earth giving forth abundant harvests, think of the bounty that lives within each person and the love it takes to bring those goodies out to be shared with the people you care about then bring into this area pictures and objects that represent that to you. Earthenware pots, pictures, artwork representing fertile fields, globes, pictures of the earth taken from space will enhance the energy of this area, as will romantic mementos and pictures of you and your loved one.

Remove From Area: Remove any artwork that depicts loneliness, aggression, or people that are alone, sad, unhappy, angry. Singular objects or objects standing by themselves will reinforce feelings of isolation. Dust, disorder, clutter speak to neglect in the nurturing and care of relationships.

3. Health & Family
Symbolized By: Respecting and valuing your heritage, your ancestors, your bodies.
Color: Green
Element: Thunder
Affirmation: “I make valuable contributions in my family life every day”, “My body is healthy and vital and supports me in all my activities and relationships.”

This pertains to not only your blood family, but also to your spiritual family, your chosen family of friends, and your teachers and mentors. These are the sounds of thunder that come before the storm, to that which came before you. From the gifts of the experiences of others and good health of your own body, you live your life. Balance in this area will help you better receive and put into action the gifts/ lessons from your family and teachers, as well as help you be less resistant to taking care of your body.

Add To Area: Plants, images of anything green and growing and pictures of your family and teachers go well in this area. Floral prints and patterns, pictures of flowers or landscapes as well as objects made of wood or wooden furniture will enhance the growth oriented energy needed here. Bring in things that make you think of fabulously good health. This a great place to put your vitamins and supplements!

Remove From Area: Dust, dried flowers, and uncared for plants speak to death, neglect, and decay. Excessive electronic equipment doesn’t harmonize well with the electrical system of the body and is better placed in a different area of the bagua map.

4. Wealth & Prosperity
Symbolized By: The flow of the material world. How you stand in the wind of life.
Color: Purple, Red, Blue
Element: Wind
Affirmation: “Money comes to me easily and abundantly”, “Life gives me everything I need every day.”

This area is about generating more money, but also about feeling grateful for what you have while changing your ideas about what you genuinely need and what you think you need. Inner patterns of lack can tell us that we need more and more stuff to truly feel happy, as in: "If I just get this one thing, I'll feel better, be happier. . . " This isn't just about money - it's about how prosperous you consider yourself, what that means to you, and what stands for prosperity in your heart and mind. Balancing this area will help to let go of these illusions and open you up to what truly makes you happy and prosperous.

Add To Area: Wind chimes, windsocks, anything that makes sweet, pleasant noise or creates movement and energy activates this area. What are the images and symbols of wealth and prosperity for you? Fountains, valuable objects, and luxurious fabrics and scents help raise the energy in this area.

Remove From Area: Images, symbols, and pictures that depict poverty, lack, and material struggle. Objects that are broken or worn out speak to a feeling of not having enough and need to be removed, replaced. If there are sinks, bathrooms, toilets in this area, make sure that there are no leaks, no dripping faucets or running toilets as this literally translates as money down the drain.
